Stationary Spindles
The Bosch Rexroth DC Electric Tightening System 300 has been developed for a market that is fast moving and flexible. Shorter product cycles and changing tasks require a variable technology with simple handling. The controller and tightening spindle have been developed as a modular system, which ensures optimal construction
of the tightening system for each application. The modular construction of the Bosch Rexroth tightening system enables a very precise adjustment of the tightening spindle to the tightening task at hand, as well as the necessary precision and safety requirements. A 1,000,000 cycle warranty covers the entire system – cable included!
This system, which can be extended up to 40 tightening channels, is coordinated by a communication unit (KE). The interface-oriented PC software BS300 makes programming clear, easy, and intuitive. Servo amplifiers (LT), controller (SE) and communication unit (KE) form a powerful unit in the system card rack (BT) with compact slide in modules. As alternatives to the system card rack, the SB301 system box is available for a single tightening channel and the SB305 system box for the inclusion of up to five tightening channels. This modularity ensures easy system installation and service. A single connector cable suffices to connect the tightening controller with the servo amplifier. This cable provides both power supply and communications.

Bosch DC Electric Tightening Systems Benefits
- Tested and warranted for 1 Million cycles at full load
- Cables are included in the warranty
- Maintenance free transducer technology based on a measurement technology through an eddy-current field (no re-adjustment necessary, no loss of accuracy over time) (Bosch patent)
- Tightening results are calculated at the tool and sent to the controller via digital data packages (cable length up to 330 feet without signal or data losses) (more floor space flexibility)
- Standard modular components for tools and controls that allow for an ease of component exchange (increased flexibility and improved "cost of ownership")
- Bosch quality control. Bosch Rexroth is the only DC electric tool supplier whose standard components are designed, manufactured and serviced by the manufacturer. Thus, providing the world class quality, accuracy and long term durability for which all Bosch products are known.
- Bosch Rexroth Brushless DC electric motor has no wear parts that require maintenance. Very fast motor (20,000 rpm). Based on the high speed of the tool and the DC electric technology (motor is driven by magnets), the tool does not get hot (other manufacturers do not shut off when they are getting too hot)
- All Bosch Rexroth DC electric tools are fully digital, including digital transmission of torque and angle readings. Our digital technology is unmatched in the industry, allowing servo cable lengths of up to 100 meters (330ft) without ANY signal loss or degradation. NO MOTOR TUNING REQUIRED.
- Bosch Rexroth transducers do not require regular recalibration, thus the accuracy does not degrade between recalibration cycles.
- In contrast to ordinary Strain-gauge measurement systems, the Bosch system measures torque via an eddy-current field (Bosch Patent): Two slotted sleeves are inserted into each other and secured to the torsion shaft at opposite ends. Surrounding this rotating torsion shaft / slotted sleeve combination is a coil which is fixed on the housing and carries a high-frequency current. The coil induces an eddy current in the slots. If torque is applied between the ends of the torsion shaft, the slotted sleeves will turn in opposite directions, causing the slots to move out of their exact alignment. The current induced in the sleeves and the energy thereby tapped from the high-frequency coil change proportionally to the rotation of the slotted sleeves, i.e. also proportional to the torque.
- The Bosch Rexroth measuring transducer provides a digital voltage signal that is proportional to the torque. This principle has led to a sturdy, wear-free, touch- free, maintenance-free transducer technology.
